New research from the National Turkey Federation (NTF) reveals that Thanksgiving traditions remain strong, with turkey staying the star of the holiday meal.
According to consumer polling by NTF, 94% of Americans intend to celebrate Thanksgiving this year. This highlights how gratitude, family, and good food continue to be central to the holiday season.
NTF estimates nearly 30 million turkeys will be served across the country this Thanksgiving. Classic traditions persist, as 87% of celebrants include turkey in their holiday meal most years, and 74% plan to serve a whole bird.
Most gatherings consist of three to ten guests (71%), and 59% of respondents expect to host Thanksgiving at their homes, emphasizing the holiday as a time for togetherness and thankfulness.
