A man arrested by armed police following a dramatic chase through a housing estate in Faversham is scheduled to appear in court.
The arrest came after allegations that the man was making threats to kill. The event took place in the Davington area on Friday night.
At least ten officers pursued the suspect after the incident at a block of flats in Breeze Meadow shortly after 8:30 p.m. Footage shared with KentOnline shows police attempting to enter the building before the suspect fled.
The man was seen running toward the junction with Western Link, near Sainsbury’s and Oare Gunpowder Works, with his hands raised.
"Stay there - armed police. Get down on the floor."
Two armed officers caught the suspect at a roundabout, followed by the arrival of additional officers, dog handlers, and a police car before the man was detained.
Two knives were reportedly found at the scene during the arrest.
