Mail shipments to Canada will resume next week despite the ongoing rolling strike at Canada Post. A spokeswoman for the Bermuda Post Office (BPO) confirmed that mail services to Canada will restart on Monday, although delays may still occur due to service disruptions.
“The BPO appreciates the public’s patience and co-operation during this time.”
Mail delivery from Bermuda to Canada was suspended in late September because of the nationwide Canada Post strike. Last month, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers shifted from a full strike to a rotating strike, enabling partial resumption of mail services.
The Bermuda Post Office also announced that all local post offices will close at noon tomorrow for a staff event.
“The BPO apologises for any inconvenience this early closure may cause.”
