A Bit of Rain Doesn't Dampen The Fox’s Fifi, Fev & Nick's Melbourne Cup Broadcast

The Fox’s Fifi, Fev & Nick turned a rainy Melbourne day into a lively indoor celebration during their Melbourne Cup live broadcast at Crown Melbourne. Instead of letting the weather interfere, the trio moved the party inside and created a vibrant pre-Cup event filled with laughter, live music, and plenty of special guests.

The live broadcast ran from 5–7 pm, different from their usual breakfast slot, and attracted more than 500 attendees to the Crown Atrium rooftop. Among the highlights were Fifi Box, Brendan Fevola, and Nick Cody sharing the stage with Gai Waterhouse, Victoria Racing Club CEO Kylie Rogers, and comedian Dave “Hughesy” Hughes in high spirits.

Gai Waterhouse joined Fifi Box and Brendan Fevola for the broadcast, adding a touch of racing glamour to the event.

The celebration also featured live performances by ARIA Award-winning duo PNAU and rising artist Cyril. Guests enjoyed interactive giveaways, live interviews, and a glimpse of The People’s Cup — the iconic three-handled Lexus Melbourne Cup trophy — making its final public appearance before the big race.

Yesterday’s drizzle seemed to foreshadow a chilly, wet, and windy Melbourne Cup day ahead. Fans can tune in to Fifi, Fev & Nick weekdays from 6–9 am on Melbourne’s 101.9 The Fox or stream via LiSTNR.
