Lane Hutson has signed an eight-year contract with the Montreal Canadiens at $8.85 million per season.
The contract, which will take effect next summer, includes a small no-trade clause and the vast majority of the contract in bonuses, with $55M out of $70M in bonuses.

Kent Hughes worked hard to convince Hutson to sign the contract, initially trying to sign him to a deferred-money contract before agreeing to the current terms.
