“It’s the same Erling Haaland – but with more experience.” This is how City’s record-breaking goal scorer describes his exceptional performance during the 2025/26 season.
Despite his remarkable achievements so far this season for both Manchester City and Norway, Haaland emphasizes that he remains the same humble and hardworking person he was from Bryne, Norway.
At 25 years old, Haaland has already scored 26 goals for club and country in the early months of the campaign. His latest came with a brace in Manchester City's 3-1 Premier League victory over Bournemouth last Sunday.
“I’ve been the completely same person for as long as I can remember. Nothing has changed,” Haaland stated at the pre-match press conference ahead of City's UEFA Champions League game against his former club Borussia Dortmund.
“I’m still the same kid in some situations; I’m still the same kid from Bryne but with much more experience in life.”
He elaborated on his maturity gained from professional and personal experiences:
Erling Haaland combines his unchanged character with valuable life and football experience, making him a formidable presence on and off the pitch.
