Indian Actor Govinda Hospitalised After Collapsing at Home

Indian actor Govinda, aged 61, was taken to a private hospital in Mumbai’s Juhu district early Wednesday after collapsing at home. Reports indicate he lost consciousness around 1 a.m. and remains under close medical supervision.

According to NDTV, Govinda’s lawyer Lalit Bindal stated that the actor had taken medication on Tuesday night following a phone consultation with doctors. Shortly after, he became disoriented and was immediately rushed to the hospital.

“The doctors are expected to review his condition around noon, after which further decisions will be taken. Govinda’s medical tests are still ongoing,”

said Shashi Sinha, the actor’s manager, quoted by ANI. She added that Govinda is conscious but continues to receive hospital care.

Earlier this week, Govinda was seen visiting fellow actor Dharmendra at another Mumbai hospital following Dharmendra’s recent health scare. Rumors about Dharmendra’s death spread online on Tuesday but were later denied by his family.

Govinda, celebrated for his performances in films such as Partner, Hero No. 1, Bhagam Bhag, and Raja Babu, has now been hospitalised twice within a little over a year.
