Veteran Bollywood actor Govinda was admitted to CritiCare Hospital in Juhu, Mumbai, early Wednesday after collapsing at his residence. The 61-year-old actor remains under close medical supervision, with doctors carefully monitoring his condition.
Govinda’s friend and legal advisor Lalit Bindal confirmed the event to IANS. The actor initially took medication after a telephonic consultation but was later rushed to the hospital around 1 a.m.
“He became unconscious at home and was immediately taken to CritiCare Hospital. He is currently under observation,” Bindal said.
This hospitalization occurred a day after Govinda visited veteran actor Dharmendra, who is recovering at Breach Candy Hospital. Videos shared online showed Govinda leaving the hospital with a serious expression.
This is Govinda’s second hospital admission within a year. In October of last year, he was treated at the same hospital after accidentally injuring his leg with a licensed revolver. He sustained a wound below his knee and underwent minor surgery to remove the bullet.
Govinda was discharged three days later after full recovery.
“I was about to leave for a show in Kolkata when the revolver fell and went off. I was shocked to see the blood,” Govinda recalled at the time.
Govinda remains under close medical monitoring following his sudden collapse, marking his second hospital stay in a year due to separate health incidents.
