Bollywood actor Govinda was admitted to a hospital in suburban Juhu after experiencing disorientation and briefly losing consciousness at home, according to his legal advisor and friend Lalit Bindal.
The 61-year-old actor is now stable and undergoing tests at CritiCare hospital, Bindal said.
“He felt disoriented at around 8:30 p.m. yesterday and became unconscious. The family then consulted the doctor, who prescribed him some medicine. So we consulted the doctor again and on his advice, we took him to the hospital. Doctors are monitoring him.”
Mr. Bindal also shared a health update on social media:
“My dear and respected @govinda_herono1 has been admitted in hospital with complaints of disorientation and unconscious (sic). I pray for his speedy recovery.”
In October last year, Govinda was taken to CritiCare hospital after his licensed revolver allegedly misfired, causing a bullet wound to his knee. He was discharged three days later.
Govinda is also a member of the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena political party.
Govinda’s recent hospitalization highlights ongoing health concerns, though he is currently stable and under medical care.
