Witney Carson, winner of season 19 of Dancing With the Stars, shares insights on her viral choreography, balancing work and family life, and her future plans after season 34.
Over ten years ago, Witney won her first mirrorball trophy with co-host Alfonso Ribeiro. A year later, she competed in season 21 when Bindi Irwin joined the show, ultimately winning alongside judge Derek Hough. During this time, her younger brother, Robert Irwin, was only 11 years old.
Witney told The Hollywood Reporter she "never in a million years" expected to dance with Robert Irwin, Steve Irwin's younger son, when they first met a decade ago.
"It never crossed my mind, but now that it’s happened, it feels right," she explained.
Although she has just one DWTS win, Witney has become one of the show’s most respected professional dancers. Her balance of motherhood and professional life adds a unique dimension to her role.
On the upcoming season, Robert's performances will pay tribute to Witney’s achievements in the ballroom, creating a meaningful family connection on the dance floor.
Witney is hopeful about earning her second mirrorball and continuing to leave a legacy on Dancing With the Stars.
