Big Brother Australia returns to its original format with 13 diverse contestants moving into the Dreamworld house on the Gold Coast. This season features live nominations, evictions, and a 24-hour livestream.
On Sunday night, Mel Tracina introduced 12 housemates described as bubbly, bonkers, and brilliant. The season also includes a unique twist: viewers get to vote in one final contestant.
Jane, a 67-year-old retiree, became the first contestant voted into the house, potentially setting a record as the oldest housemate in Australian Big Brother history.
“I’m a grandmother but not your average grandmother. My suitcase has no tracksuits, it’s all sparkle, heels, bikinis. I’m going to talk some shit, I’m going to tell some lies,” she says. “And now I’m single, you better watch out!”
Colin, a lively 21-year-old from Wollongong, New South Wales, describes himself as a “mama’s boy” and plans to take his mum to Egypt if he wins. He is known for his strong interest in conspiracy theories.
One final contestant will be chosen by public vote to join these housemates and complete the lineup for the season.
Author's summary: Big Brother Australia 2025 features a dynamic group of 13 contestants, including the oldest housemate ever and a public-voted final entrant, promising an entertaining season with live events.
