Channel Islands Lottery Awards £427,082 for Wellbeing Projects
Charitable initiatives aimed at enhancing mental and physical wellbeing throughout the Channel Islands received over £420,000 in funding in 2024, courtesy of the Channel Islands Lottery.
The grants, ranging from £2,000 to £130,000, supported projects and organizations offering access to physical activities and support networks that positively impact Islanders' lives.
Guernsey Grants
In Guernsey, a total of £191,023 was distributed through the Social Investment Fund Guernsey (SIF), which is backed by Channel Islands Lottery funding. Supported projects include:
- Various community wellbeing projects enhancing physical health and mental resilience.
Jersey Grants
In Jersey, the Channel Islands Lottery funds are allocated by the Association of Jersey Charities (AJC) and the Jersey Community Foundation (JCF). In 2024, they jointly awarded £236,059 in grants to support both mental and physical wellbeing, including:
- Programs focused on improving community mental health.
- Initiatives promoting physical activity and social inclusion.
