Ajay Mitchell has credited Thunder All-Star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander for his influence during the 2025-26 season. Mitchell, a second-year guard for the Oklahoma City Thunder, had his fourth 20+ point game in a 114-100 comeback win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday.
He started in place of Lu Dort and played a key role in overcoming a 19-point deficit to lead the Thunder to a 14-point victory, closing a 3-1 road trip.
When asked about Gilgeous-Alexander’s impact this season, Mitchell highlighted the star's work ethic and leadership.
“The first thing is just seeing his work ethic. Every day he's the first guy in the gym/last one to leave. So, it's been awesome to see him work, and, obviously, seeing the results on the court.”
