Shocking Animal Cruelty Case Unfolds in Cheyenne
A Cheyenne man, Michael Patrick Ohern, 70, is facing 22 counts of felony aggravated cruelty to animals.
More than 100 animals were seized from his home, including 22 deceased animals, such as dogs, cats, turtles, and bunnies.
- 14 animals were initially found dead in the home.
- Over 75 surviving animals were taken to the Cheyenne Animal Shelter for care and rehabilitation, many of whom were injured, sick, and severely neglected.
Ohern was arrested at his home after a search warrant revealed negligent conditions harmful to the health and wellbeing of his pets.
