A new memorial chair has been dedicated to Tasmanian servicewomen, replacing a vandalised memorial at the Launceston Cenotaph Precinct.
"It's a tangible thing, so people can come and sit to reflect and remember what these service women did and still do for us,"
said Dianne Brzeski, president of the Launceston RSL Sub-Branch Women's Auxiliary.
The volunteer committee aimed to honour past and present defence women with something tangible, as they are often overlooked despite making up 20% of the defence force.
