Planning is underway for road upgrades along the 60-kilometre Warrego Highway stretch between Toowoomba and Dalby, known for its poor crash history.

- Installation of dedicated turn lanes at Speed Road near Oakey
Construction, part of the Targeted Road Safety Program, is scheduled to start in late 2025 and continue into 2026.
