The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has announced the reorganization of a new First Presidency, with Dallin H. Oaks as the 18th president.
"I accept with humility the responsibility that God has placed upon me and commit my whole heart and soul to the service to which I've been called,"
said President Oaks. He succeeds President Russell M., who passed away over two weeks ago.
President Oaks expressed his commitment to fulfilling the challenges given by his predecessor, stating that "we have much work to do".
A live broadcast was held to announce the reorganization of the new First Presidency, the governing body of the faith.
