PGG Wrightson chair Garry Moore and independent director Sarah Brown have been removed from the board in a surprise vote at the company's annual meeting.
The decision was made by the company's two largest shareholders, Agria and ASX-listed Elders, resulting in a trading halt for the company's shares.
PGG Wrightson said its two largest shareholders made the decision in a statement to the NZX issued by company secretary Julian Daly.
