Violent Crackdown on Pro-Palestine Rally in Pakistan
At least five people have been killed in Lahore as Pakistani police violently halted a pro-Palestine rally.
The protest, organised by Islamic political group Tehrik-e-Labaik Pakistan (TLP), was held ahead of US President Donald Trump’s announcement of a ceasefire deal to end the Gaza war.
According to local reports, police attempted to negotiate a cancellation of the march prior to the violence, but those efforts failed.
