Sex Predator Found Guilty of Raping Glasgow Doctor
A 34-year-old Romanian man, Mihai Nicolae Patran, has been convicted of raping a 27-year-old doctor in a late-night attack in Glasgow city centre.
The incident occurred on November 26, 2023, when Patran pounced on the stranger as she walked along Mitchell Street in the early hours.
The victim eventually escaped naked from the waist down to the safety of a taxi. Patran was later arrested and found guilty of the crime on October 14.
During his first court appearance, Patran performed a sex act on himself while sitting in the dock.
