Demolition of Former Potter County Courts Building Complete

The demolition of the former Potter County Courts Building is complete, making way for a new parking lot.

Potter County Judge Nancy Tanner stated that construction crews are now working on laying dirt to fill a former tunnel beneath the building.

“We’re ready to get people off the streets. Let them park in the parking lot, so they can get where they need to go and without having to take a chance of getting a city ticket,”

said Judge Tanner. The new parking lot will feature over 200 spaces, including 21 ADA accessible spaces.

“The handicap spots are going to be facing the new district courts building, so they can get out of their cars and walk straight across the street,”

said Judge Tanner. The county is also working to install a crosswalk for easier access.

A new parking lot with over 200 spaces is expected to provide relief for parking in the area.
