New details of deadly Albany fire investigation may come later this week

Investigators hope to share more information later this week into the cause of last week’s deadly fire on Twiller Street.

A fire broke out at 23 Twiller St. and spread to two neighboring buildings, killing 52-year-old Erick DeCamp, 47-year-old Eric Peterson, 4-year-old Leroy, 3-year-old Joanie, and 6-year-old Annie.

Albany Fire Chief Joseph Gregory stated that the investigation is being handled by his department, the New York State Office of Fire Prevention and Control, and the Albany Police Department.
