The University of Florida has unveiled the newest edition of its AI supercomputer, HiPerGator, which is now in its fourth version.
According to UF, the HiPerGator is the most powerful university supercomputer in the country.
“They’re gonna look in the ranks and say, who here can help me figure out what to do, how to do it, how to implement it? They’re gonna be looking to new employees, new hires,”
said Chris Malachowsky, co-founder of Nvidia, at the unveiling event.
The HiPerGator has already made an impact on students, including Nick Marotta, who is part of a UF student team competing internationally on ways to reduce bone decay in astronauts.
