Why I Still Love Newspapers
I am a week late to this discussion, having recently shared my experiences of being in Iraq 20 years ago with the 48th Brigade Combat Team from Georgia.
Last week marked National Newspaper Week, a celebration close to my heart. As a columnist, I have the privilege of sharing my thoughts with readers each week, thanks to the editors.
I have been doing this job for almost three decades, during which time I have formed meaningful connections with regular readers, despite never having met them in person.
You have been with me through good times and bad, offering constructive criticism when needed, and correcting me when I make errors.
