A proposed repeal of Florida's law that denies some families the ability to sue for non-economic damages has advanced to the penultimate House Committee.

The bill, HB 6003, would repeal the unique Florida law and allow families to sue for non-economic damages, such as grief and loss of companionship, if a hospital or doctor's error kills their loved one.
