Ilkley Film Society's next screening is Juror #2, a courtroom drama directed by Clint Eastwood, on Sunday, October 26th at 8pm at Ilkley Playhouse.
The film tells the story of a young man serving on a jury in a high-profile murder trial in Savannah, Georgia, who discovers a personal connection to the case, leading to a moral dilemma that could result in a miscarriage of justice.
Notably, Clint Eastwood was 93 years old at the start of the production, marking his 40th film as a director. The film features a major role by Toni Collette and stars Nicholas Hoult, who has since taken on starring roles in Nosferatu and Superman.
Guests are welcome to attend the screening for £5 (cash only) and can phone Dave Howell on 01943 430097 or email secretary@ilkleyfilmsociety for more information.
Clint Eastwood still has some way to go to match the Portuguese director Manoel de Oliveira who directed 3 full-length features after his 100th birthday!
