Allocation of Entries for the 29er World Championships 2026 in Kiel
The 29er Class has not restricted entries for the World or European Championships in the past, but due to the expected popularity of the Worlds in 2026 in Kiel, an Entry Allocation is necessary.
The allocation method will be based on the entries from the World or European Championships 2025, with each country's entries in 2026 determined by the higher of their entries in either of the two Championships in 2025.
- All countries will be allocated a minimum of three entries.
- Countries that didn't enter a championship in 2025 can apply for up to three entries in 2026.
- The host nation will receive 10 additional entries.
- The 2025 World Champions will receive individual entries that cannot be transferred.
This method is expected to result in around 320 boats, but the actual number may be lower if some countries do not take up their allocation.
