PRESIDENT RAMAPHOSA SUSPENDS INSPECTOR-GENERAL OF INTELLIGENCE
President Cyril Ramaphosa has suspended the Inspector-General of Intelligence, Mr Imtiaz Fazel, pending an investigation by Parliament’s Joint Standing Committee on Intelligence (JSCI) into his conduct.
Mr Fazel has been suspended with immediate effect, according to a statement issued by Vincent Magwenya, Spokesperson to the President, on 15 October 2025.
Pending a decision in an investigation by Parliament’s Joint Standing Committee on Intelligence (JSCI) into the Inspector-General’s conduct.
