A new tropical wave in the Atlantic may develop next week, with no threat to the Carolinas.

Tropical Storm Lorenzo has formed in the open Atlantic, making it the twelfth named storm of the 2025 Atlantic Hurricane Season.

New Areas of Development

Neither of these areas poses a threat to the mainland U.S. or the Carolinas at this time.

Hurricane Season ends on November 30th.
