LCC President Dr. Mark Watkins Announces Retirement
Labette County Community College President Dr. Mark Watkins has announced his intent to retire at the end of this academic year.
“Dear Friends and Members of the LCC Community, after much reflection, I wish to share that I will be retiring as President of Labette Community College in July 2026.
Dr. Watkins stated that it has been one of the greatest honors of his career to serve alongside dedicated faculty, staff, students, and community partners who believe strongly in the mission of Labette Community College.
- Dr. Watkins joined LCC in 2012 as Dean of Instruction.
- He began serving as President in 2017.
