False claims about immigration have spread across social media platforms, including X and Facebook, promoting an upcoming anti-immigration march on October 19.
An earlier anti-immigration protest in August was also promoted using false claims, which AAP FactCheck previously debunked.
AAP FactCheck found that the claims are based on data that mostly measures existing citizens and temporary migrants, who are not yet eligible for citizenship.
