Public Meeting on PFAS Cleanup

The public is invited to an information session on November 19 to discuss the cleanup of polyfluoroalkylated substances (PFAS) from the Jack Garland Airport.

The meeting, co-hosted by the Department of National Defence and the City of North Bay, will be held at the Best Western from 3 to 8 p.m.

Residents will receive updates on the $20-million cleanup project and have the opportunity to interact with subject matter experts and project teams to address their questions and concerns.

According to the Department of National Defence, the session will include presentations on ongoing studies and remediation efforts.

The public will hear the latest project information and updates on the joint efforts to address PFAS.
