A California-based manufacturing company, Judco Manufacturing, will relocate its research and development operations to Greene County, bringing 60 new jobs and investing $5.3 million.
“That’s great news,” said John Hunt, a Greene County resident. “I think it’s important for growth. I mean, anytime a company comes in and wants to invest in a county.”
The company, a third-generation family-owned business, will move its operations to a building on Carolina Drive in Snow Hill. This decision is seen as a win for the community, with residents welcoming the investment and job creation.
The move was announced by Gov. and is expected to have a positive impact on the local economy. As Hunt noted, it will allow residents to spend their money locally, rather than in nearby towns like Kinston, Goldsboro, or Greenville.
