Wistaston Woman Smashes Fundraiser Target in Cancer Research Challenge
A Wistaston woman, Anne Garner, has raised £865 for Cancer Research UK after completing a month-long walking challenge in September, exceeding her original fundraising goal.
Garner, a Learning Mentor at Cheshire College – South & West in Crewe, participated in the national "Walk 30 Miles Challenge", a virtual fundraiser that encourages participants to walk 30 miles throughout the month to support cancer research.
The challenge was personal for Anne, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2016 and is now cancer-free. She set a goal to walk one mile a day for 30 days, achieving a remarkable milestone.
Anne's achievement is a testament to her determination and commitment to supporting cancer research.
