Honoring Darren McFadden
Arkansas football's No. 5 jersey patch, honoring Darren McFadden, was recently introduced.
The athletics department announced in July that McFadden's number would be honored, not retired, with a patch added to both the offensive and defensive No. 5 jerseys.
- The patch features McFadden's silhouette and his initials, D.M.
- This season, the patch is worn by defensive tackle Cam Ball and wide receiver Ja'Kayden Ferguson.
It's a conversation piece, said McFadden, the Doak Walker Award winner and Heisman Trophy runner-up in 2006 and 2007.
McFadden was honored on the field during Arkansas' game against Texas A&M.
