A Pacific storm system is approaching, bringing the best rain chances to the area in nearly a month, according to Meteorologist Siobhain Anders.
Currently, the storm system is off the coast of California, but it is expected to move across the desert southwest and into the South Central Plains, dragging a cold front through the region.
Friday night will see an increase in rain chances, with the potential for 1–2+ inches of rainfall in some areas, accompanied by heavy showers and storms.
Prior to the storm's arrival, today will bring drier, more comfortable air, with mostly cloudy skies in the morning and possible patchy fog, giving way to sunshine in the afternoon as humidity drops.
Rain chances increase Friday, especially Friday night.
Author's summary: Pacific storm brings heavy rain to the area.
