IWBS Urges Tinubu to Assent to Child Protection Bill
The Ideal Women for Better Society (IWBS) has applauded the senate for passing the Criminal Code (Amendment) Bill, 2025.
According to its national president, J.O. Anyata, the legislation marks a significant milestone in Nigeria’s pursuit of justice and aligns with global standards for child protection.
The passage of the bill is a “historic and courageous step” toward protecting vulnerable children, especially the girl-child, from sexual abuse and exploitation.
