County Durham Village to Host First-Ever Food Week
Lanchester, a County Durham village, will celebrate its first-ever Food Week from October 25 to November 2, showcasing the village's thriving food scene.
Founder and podcast host Barrie McDermid has organized the event, offering discounts to restaurant-goers.
"I very rarely have to leave the village if I want to eat out, and I just thought we should all work together to help promotions. I love the village and only a couple years ago Front Street shops were shut and there wasn't much in the village but it has really turned around again."
Local organiser Barrie McDermid initiated the idea due to his love for the village's growing food offer.
