Rebecca Orwin's Debut Novel
Rebecca Orwin's debut middle-grade novel, The Monsters at the End of the World, was acquired by Puffin in a six-figure deal.
Orwin, a lifelong book-lover, studied for a Masters in Creative Writing before pursuing her author dreams. She landed an agent after writing five books and finally secured a deal with her sixth book.
“It didn’t feel very real,”
Orwin says of the moment she landed the deal. She also notes that success requires
“hard work, talent and that little bit of luck.”
The novel, to be published in January, features black and white illustrations by Oriol Vidal.
