Downtown Tuscaloosa's New Antioch Pizza Shop
Downtown Tuscaloosa's newest restaurant, Antioch Pizza Shop, is now open, serving tavern-style thin-crust pizza, Chicago-style deep-dish pies, cannoli, ice cream, and more.
Located at 409 23rd Avenue in Temerson Square, the pizzeria brings a 50-plus-year-old brand from Illinois to Alabama, offering a two-slice special with a drink for $7.
"I grew up going to Antioch Pizza, buying the two-slice-and-a-drink special that we all offer,"
said franchisee Mike Volkmar, Jr. The shop officially opened on Monday.
