Body Found in Gisburn Forest During Search for Missing Simon Eaves
A body has been found in the search for missing man Simon Eaves, police have confirmed. Simon Eaves, 41, was reported missing from the Gregson Lane area on Thursday morning (23 October) and his car was later found close to the Forest of Bowland.
Lancashire Constabulary has now confirmed that a body they believe to be Simon’s was found in Gisburn Forest on Saturday (25 October). Police do not believe there are any suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.
“Very sadly, the body of a man was today found in Gisburn Forest. Whilst formal identification is yet to take place, we do believe this to be Simon. His loved ones have been informed, and our thoughts are with them at this incredibly upsetting time.”
A spokesperson for police said the thoughts are with the family at this time.
