The San Jose Sharks were on the verge of blowing a third-period lead, but Macklin Celebrini saved the day with a 6-5 OT victory.
Despite dominating the first period 2-0, the Sharks' mistakes led to a power play goal by Marcus Johansson and a 2-on-1 strike by Marco Rossi.
"That was our own doing," San Jose Sharks head coach Ryan Warsofsky said. "That’s one big lesson."
The same pattern repeated itself in the third period, but the Sharks managed to regain their lead.
