President Holland's Message to Latter-day Saint Youth
President Holland, of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, addressed Latter-day Saint youth in a worldwide devotional broadcast, expressing his certainty in the gospel of Jesus Christ.
I've tried to look to God in every thought.
He shared his testimony, stating that he knows the gospel is true and is "the way to peace and salvation." He also bore witness of Joseph Smith's experience, saying:
I know that Joseph Smith, exactly the age some of you are now, saw God, the eternal father, and his son, Jesus Christ.
President Holland also expressed his admiration for the Book of Mormon, calling it "the most important book I have ever read in my life." He attributed his knowledge and understanding to his efforts to "look to God in every thought" and to find answers to his questions through faith.
He concluded by expressing his confidence in the future of the church, saying:
I'm not fearful for the future of this church because of you.
