UVM Seniors Take Campus by Storm on Tandem Bike
Matthew Tevnan and Harry Missing, seniors on the UVM men's rugby team, have become a familiar sight on campus riding their tandem bike.
The two met in their first year and have been roommates since their junior year. One day, they were sitting at their dining room table and thought,
"Wouldn’t it be fun if we had a tandem bike and rode it to class and rugby practice every day?"said Tevnan.
They found their bike on Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace and now ride it to class, rugby practice, and off-campus locations like the YMCA. Missing and Tevnan have a consistent riding arrangement, with Missing always in the front and Tevnan in the back.
"I’m top, he’s bottom,"said Missing. Tevnan joked,
"It takes a real mastermind to be in the back, so I don’t really want to put it in his hands."
