UVM Seniors Take Campus by Storm on Tandem Bike
Matthew Tevnan and Harry Missing, seniors on the UVM men's rugby team, met in their first year and have been inseparable since.
"We were just sitting around our dining room table, we were like 'Wouldn't it be fun if we had a tandem bike and rode it to class and rugby practice every day?'"
said Tevnan. They found their tandem bike on Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace, and now ride it to class, rugby practice, and off-campus locations like the YMCA.
Missing and Tevnan have a consistent riding arrangement: Missing in the front and Tevnan in the back.
"I'm top, he's bottom,"
said Missing. Tevnan joked that being in the back requires a
"real mastermind", implying he's better suited for the task.
