Lafayette Residents Push Back on Proposed Hotel Near Silo Neighborhood
A proposed 124-room Echo Suites hotel in Lafayette has sparked opposition from nearby residents, despite the city's need for more hotels.
The hotel, which would be the city's second, is planned for construction near the growing Silo neighborhood, with the developer, Hix Snedeker, requesting a modification to the city's 35-foot height limit to allow for a nearly 50-foot building.
The land proposed for the hotel is located just west of U.S. 287 and south of Arapahoe Road, behind the Kohl's, 24 Hour Fitness, and Tractor Supply Co.
The application is currently under review by city staff, which could recommend it to the Lafayette Planning Commission.
