Alleged Assassin of Charlie Kirk Makes Unusual Request Ahead of Court Hearing

Tyler Robinson, the alleged assassin of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk, has made a request through his lawyers that could impact the fairness of his trial.

Robinson was arrested and charged with seven offenses, including aggravated murder and obstruction of justice, after Kirk was shot and killed at a Utah Valley University event on September 10.

A motive for the killing has not been released, but if convicted, Robinson could face capital punishment, with Utah being one of five states that still uses a firing squad as a method of execution.

Robinson's lawyers argued that if the request is not met, it could make it more difficult to have a fair trial.

Author's summary: Alleged assassin Tyler Robinson makes unusual request.
