Argentina's president, Javier Milei, has been given a unique opportunity to turn his reformist agenda into law.
After two years of governing with less than 15% of congressional support, Milei won a surprising midterm landslide, with his party, La Libertad Avanza (LLA), and its allies taking around 40% of the lower chamber and a third of the Senate.
The chainsaw got him this far.
Although still short of a majority, Milei is now strong enough to negotiate and pursue his mandate, but he must move beyond theatrics and build alliances to do so.
