Canadian Yellow Peas Face New Tariff in India
Canadian yellow pea producers are now facing tariffs in both major export markets, China and India.
India has announced a new 30% tariff on all imported yellow peas, effective November. This comes after China imposed a 100% tariff on Canadian yellow peas in March, reportedly in retaliation for Canada's tariffs on Chinese electric vehicles.
