A powerful coastal storm is expected to bring major flooding and wind gusts up to 60 mph to the Philadelphia region, prompting New Jersey to declare a state of emergency.
“It’s going to be bad,” said Paul Fitzsimmons, a lead meteorologist. “It’s going to be a nasty, stormy ‘nor’easter’ ... lasting right into Monday.”
The National Weather Service has issued advisories and watches, including the potential for "major" flooding along the Jersey coast.
